Lincoln Democracy Institute Places SEPTA Ads Encouraging Voter Turnout

The Lincoln Democracy Institute announces it will place ads encouraging people to vote in this year’s midterm elections throughout the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) system.

This is the second in a series of get-out-the-vote efforts in the Philadelphia region that also includes billboards around the city.

The SEPTA Get-Out-The-Vote messages will appear on multiple screens at 16 different locations inside the system.

“Pennsylvania is one of the most important midterm elections of our lifetimes and these ads will act as a daily reminder for people to make a plan to vote this fall,” said Erin Dobson, Lincoln Democracy Institute Executive Director.

“We see how the American values of fair elections and individual freedoms are being challenged up and down the ballot. We ask all Americans to get engaged and stop this rising authoritarianism by voting this fall. Everyone who cares about democracy and free expression must get out and vote this year.”

The Lincoln Democracy Institute (LDI) responds in real time to threats to our democracy. It repudiates the lies of the right wing media and pushes back against those who threaten to use violence. As the 501(c)(4) nonprofit affiliate of the Lincoln Project, LDI seeks to defeat the forces that imperil our democratic system, reminding Americans of the values that unite us and educating voters on a nonpartisan basis on the urgency for all of us to participate in the democratic process.
